Movie Review by:

The new Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull action adventure film from the brilliant minds of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas did not match up to any of it’s Indy adventurous predecessors. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good action movie and the story line wasn’t bad either. However, the special effects team hit and missed with their duties on this film. Some effects worked while some of them did not. With the film’s big budget and its long awaited release, why would Mr. Spielberg sign off on this film’s final footage and not re-shoot several action scenes?
Harrison Ford, as usual delivered a solid performance as Indiana Jones, the whip master. Although, time takes it toll on our bodies and it’s time to pass the Indy torch and give the young gun a try at the whip. Shia LaBeouf’s performance gave this film the super extra rush of energy when they needed it the most. I’m sure Steven Spielberg will cast this talented kid for all future Indy adventures. Cate Blanchett, the evil Russian wench gave a wicked cool solid performance with a sexy twisted approach. Where was Karen Allen? Her scenes were few but what I did see, she delivered a good performance.
Over all, I rated this movie a 7.25 out of 10. The music score was outstanding and flowed with the action. This film will reach a whole new generation and will be a super BLOCKBUSTER for the Steven Spielberg and George Lucas foundations, (Pockets). I’m sure Paramount will be rewarded as well. Toys are flying off the shelves as fast as they stock them. I predict this film will gross over $300 million domestically and over $600 million worldwide. There will be another sequel and we won’t have to wait 20 years for it.
